Quilts for Nora and Logan

Here's a peek at Logan's quilt...

Let's start with the crib quilt that I made a few months ago for baby Nora. I was so excited to give her parents this sweet quilt that I forgot to take photos of it ahead of time but I do have one of her with it which is even better...   :)

Her nursery's walls are a soft blue-green with yellow trim. It used to be their guest room and I've always loved the colors in that room. I made a car seat quilt with the scraps that'll I'll share another time. The quilt back and binding were done in the yellow fabric. I drew the applique letter shapes freehand and used all lowercase letters for a childlike feel.

Logan turned 2 years old in April. He's into Thomas the Train, Curious George, and trucks. I decided to create a quilt to match his interests for his birthday.

I was very excited to find this Thomas fabric for the quilt back. I imaged him pushing toys around the tracks.

I love how the striped binding came out!

I found a Celebration Thomas toy and wrapped it up with the quilt. Then, I wrapped the quilt up like a piece of hard candy in a Thomas tablecloth. :)

Here's another photo of the back because I like it! :)
